It has been reported that pomegranate rind can be converted into a special cream that can be used to treat hospital infections. Even very severe infections “methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)” bacteria can be alleviated with the pomegranate rind ointment.
A team at Kingston University in London has identified that pomegranate rind can be combined with other substances to make it super-effective. When pomegranate rind is mixed with metal salts and vitamin C it becomes highly successful in fighting infections.
The liniment is able to defeat drug-resistant bacteria or microbes. Moreover, this breakthrough, of the power of pomegranate rind can result in highly performing products, according to the Declan Naughton, the team leader.
The study gave evidence that pomegranate rinds mixed with metal salt was highly performing in treating infection such as MRSA. Furthermore, when vitamin C was integrated and combined with the other two components it became the best treatment for other general infections.
According to Naughton, the amount of drug-resistant infections is making the research findings very important. Infections are becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotic and this is proving the new combination as a step forward. It is also true that the use of more foodstuffs, normally unusual nowadays, will alleviate a range of possible shortcomings.
